Refuge Bay is looking to host 4 separate groups OR individuals during a networking getaway designed for influencers & creators. These getaways will be held semiannually , once in the summer and once in the winter and the will happen yearly going forward.

From June 4-6, our units will be available exclusively for a content, creation, and marketing getaway. For our winter session it will be Dec 9-11, 2025.

We will be accepting applications from today until May 20 for our June getaway and until Nov 3, 2025 for our winter session.

What do I get?

Each group will be designated their own site to capture content for their personal use and use of Refuge Bay (see deliverables section below). You will also be introduced to other creators staying during this time via a group chat before the stay. Every guest will be provided early access the day of check in, allowing each group the opportunity to capture content from other sites. The group chat will also allow the creators the opportunity to collaborate and work together if they so choose as well as the opportunity to resource share items like models or site features (if they so choose).

Stays, including the wood fire hot tub, during this time frame range from $1150 to $2500 depending on the site and number of people in your group.

Refuge Bay will work with the chosen applicants to facilitate scheduling and introductions.

Refuge Bay has unique luxury accommodations that highlight the natural setting and features of the land. In the summer it is not uncommon to see northern lights as well as fireflies in the late night followed by glorious sunrises and stunning sunsets over the lake. Outside of this wildlife is also not uncommon from moose & elk to foxes, owls and the occasional eagle there is incredible opportunity for a host of content.

In the winter the snow blankets the land transforming the landscape and allowing for a whole new experience to capture. From hoar frosted trees to hot tubs and snow angels, to cozy Christmas and hot tub plunges, the opportunities for content are only limited by your imagination.

2 posts or reels on platform of your choosing with Refuge Bay as a collaborator and/or tagged
2 UGC stories with Refuge Bay tagged
8 edited photos
1 video in collaboration with another creator from the stay, to be posted as you see fit and tagging Refuge Bay AND with a copy provided to Refuge Bay
All raw content shared with Refuge Bay post stay.

How do I apply:?

We have developed an application process which includes an application fee AND/OR post in addition to a brief applications form for us to best consider all applicants.

Application Fee:

Use only a single platform with your largest following to determine where you fit: (please note we will verify these standards for the successful applicants and if not met your spot will be forfeited but we will inform you)

5000 to 15,000 followers (1 to 2 attendees chosen from this category)

$150 application fee AND reposting (TikTok) or sharing a Refuge Bay post to your story (IG)

15,001 to 250,000 followers (1 to 2 attendees chosen from this category)

$100 application fee AND reposting (TikTok) or sharing a Refuge Bay post to your story (IG)

250,001 to 500,000 followers (1 attendee chosen from this category OR the +500k category)

$75 application fee OR reposting (TikTok) or sharing a Refuge Bay post to your story (IG)

500,001+ followers (1 attendee chosen from this category OR the +250k category)

No application fee BUT reposting (TikTok) or sharing a Refuge Bay post to your story (IG)

How will Refuge Bay decide? Won’t I be at a disadvantage if I have fewer followers?

The short answer is, no. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue their passion and that is the reason Refuge Bay and this program was developed. We want to give the up and comers a chance, we want to see your fire and passion AND we have witnessed and been fortunate enough that some of our most wonderful and authentic content has come from guests with a passion who have graciously shared their captured memories with us.

Criteria:

- paid your application fee & completed your sharing obligation, e-transfers sent to info@refugebay.ca

-equipment, skills, props - special consideration for drones, nightscape photography, astrophotography and long exposure. Special consideration for groups bringing along subjects or models

-number of creators in the group

-deliverables YOU want to provide

FAQ:

I want to apply for your summer AND your winter dates, do I need to pay two application fees and post twice?

YES, however if you are selected for the summer getaway you will be refunded any application fees for later dates.

These dates don't work for my schedule, when will you release the summer 2026 and winter 2026 dates?

We endeavor to announce our dates 6 to 10 months in advance BUT if enough interest is expressed we will open the application process sooner. If this is you please email info@refugebay.ca and place "2026 Content Getaway" in the subject line.
